Worship prepares us for being with God in our everyday lives.

Each Sunday we invite people into the rhythms of worship through ancient and beautiful practices that shape us and prepare us for everyday life with Jesus and others. Another word for these sacred rhythms is “liturgy.” Liturgy means “the work of the people,” which also means worshipping God is something in which we all get to play a part. Feel free to “try it out” or just sit back and take it all in, but never worry about getting it all right.

Sundays

Worship is less about doing it perfect, and more about doing it together.

We can't talk about "us" without talking about kids. We aren't fully gathered as a community unless our children are present. We delight in seeing the whole community, adults and children, worshiping together. Kids are a vital part of worship, and they help teach us what it means to need others and depend on God.

On Sundays, kids and adults begin in worship together, and before the sermon, children are sent to participate in a dynamic storytelling experience that is designed to help them feel at home in worship by learning to to wonder, and respond to God, in their own imaginative way. Kids are returned to their parents toward the latter part of the service, and together, the whole church is invited to communion.

Kids & the Abbey

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

  • Babies and young children are always welcome to stay in the service to worship with the rest of the family, but child care is available for children three years and under.

  • Students are invited and equipped to help participate in and even lead elements of worship and Godly Play each week as a vital part of their formation.

We’d love to meet you.
